Folk Sunday Mills
Folk Sunday Mills
The site lies in Earlsfield, bordering both the River Wandle and Great Western main train line. By taking full advantage of its unique location alongside the River Wandle, the architectural forms and materiality where determined by it, while being sensitive to it’s strong ecological elements. Understanding the historical context of the area linked to the river and its industry, which was industrialised with numerous mills and weirs, was the foundation to the projects interior identity.
